What do I need to become a local host?
You need to know your city well, love sharing it with others, and be available to host regularly. A good level of English is important so you can guide international guests confidently.
How do I receive bookings?
All bookings come straight into your Withlocals host dashboard. You can easily manage incoming requests, view upcoming bookings, and track your past bookings, all in one place.
How much will I earn as a Withlocals host?
Your earnings depend on how many tours you host and what type of experiences you offer. We believe in fair pay for every host. Guests pay per tour, and we deduct a 32% service fee before sending your earnings.
How do I receive payments?
We use Stripe, a trusted global payment provider, to manage all host payouts. Once you're accepted, you'll connect your Stripe account to Withlocals through Stripe Connect. From there, you'll receive secure, direct payments to your bank account.
Can I add my own tours & experiences to the Withlocals platform?
Yes. Alongside our Withlocals Originals, you can suggest new experiences based on your passion and local knowledge. Have an idea? Reach out to us and tell us about it. Our team reviews every suggestion and, if there’s a good fit, we work closely with you to shape it into a high-quality experience that fits our standards and brand. This is a collaborative process. Together, we refine the concept, story, and structure before it goes live on our platform. We focus on experiences that are personal, authentic, and show a side of your city travelers would not easily find on their own. Got something in mind? Get in touch, we’d love to explore it with you.
What if I can't find my city on the list?
If your city isn't listed yet, it means we're not active there right now but we're always expanding. Some cities already appear in our list with a "Keep me posted" option - select yours and leave your email to get an alert when we launch there. If your city doesn't show up at all, check back later as we're adding new cities regularly.
